University of Blida 2 Lounici Ali welcomed Ambassador of Italy to Algeria

University of Blida 2 Lounici Ali welcomed today, Sunday, H.E. Mr. Alberto Cutillo, Ambassador of Italy to Algeria, as part of its strategy to expand international cooperation with universities worldwide.
The rector of university , Professor Farid Kourtel, chaired a working session with the diplomatic delegation, dedicated to discussing prospects for academic and cultural collaboration, particularly in student exchange and scientific research.
Professor Kourtel emphasized that cooperation with Italian universities represents an important step toward strengthening students’ training in foreign languages, in line with global trends.
Professor Farid Kourtel, the rector of the university, stated that the collaboration with Italy is part of a more general vision to better teach foreign languages and to develop student mobility in general. He expressed satisfaction with the increasing interest in learning Italian at Blida 2 and highlighted the interesting scholarships offered by Italian universities.
Ambassador Cotillo thanked the university for the warm welcome and emphasized the longstanding ties between Algeria and Italy. He indicated that cooperative efforts in cultural and linguistic endeavors work together to promote bilateral relations, and reiterated Italy’s willingness to provide support for teaching the Italian language and for academic mobility.
The ambassador also mentioned that the Italian Cultural Institutes play an active role in this regard and described the association between Blida 2 and the University of Perugia as an example of an academic partnership that is working well.
It is worth noting that this is the Ambassador’s second visit to Blida 2 University, following a first visit that led to the signing of bilateral agreements in academic and cultural cooperation.
