The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences today opened the international conference “Traumatic Events and Their Consequences: On the Gaza Strip, Humanitarian and Natural Disasters, and Psychological Trauma.”
Professor Nacer Eddine Bouhassain, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research, inaugurated the event on behalf of the Rector Professor Farid Kourtel, stressing the academic community’s moral duty to study the deep psychological impacts of global tragedies, particularly in Gaza, and to support their victims.
Conference Chair Dr. Fatiha Ben Moufok highlighted the event’s importance amid rising humanitarian crises, noting that its themes address the psychological, social, and therapeutic dimensions of trauma and aim to develop intervention protocols for affected individuals.
