A National conference on « Digital Investment and the Algerian Environment: Opportunities and Challenges » at university of Blida 2

Professor Farid Kourtel, Rector of the University of Blida 2 Lounici Ali, opened this morning the proceedings of the national conference on « Digital Investment and the Algerian Environment: Opportunities and Challenges, » organized by the research team « The Role of International Accounting and Financial Reporting Standards in Attracting Foreign Direct Investment » affiliated with the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Commercial Sciences and Management Sciences.

In his opening speech, Professor Kourtel emphasized the necessity of keeping pace with global digital transformations and the importance of scientific research in developing an attractive investment environment, pointing to the university’s role in providing scientific insights that contribute to supporting national economic development.

For his part, Professor Hamza Laarabi, conference president, affirmed that digital investment has become a strategic necessity for Algeria, adding: « Through this conference, we seek to open an in-depth scientific discussion on the reality of digital investment in Algeria, and to identify the challenges facing this promising sector. »

At the conclusion of the opening session, the Rector called on participants to present practical recommendations that take into account the specificity of the Algerian environment and benefit from successful international experiences in the field of digital economy.
