In the presence of the Governor of Blida the University of Blida 2 hosted the first International Conference on Legal Technology

In the presence of the Governor of Blida, the University of Blida 2 – Lounici Ali hosted the first International Conference on Legal Technology under the theme “Legal Technology: Between Reality and Aspiration.”
Held this morning, the event brought together high-level officials and academics, led by Mr. Ibrahim Ouchane, Governor of Blida, alongside the President of the Provincial People’s Assembly, and guest of honor Professor Tayeb Farraj, Director of the University Center of El Bayadh.
In his opening speech, Professor Farid Kourtel, Rector of the university, emphasized that the conference comes amid rapid global digital transformations, noting that “the Algerian legal system must adapt to the technological revolution, especially in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital justice.” He added that the university “is committed to serious scientific research that builds bridges between law and technology to advance the justice system.”
For her part, Dr. Chahinaz Ben Bouaïcha, chair of the conference, stated that “the real challenge lies in adapting legal frameworks to a changing digital environment and using technology to enhance legislative effectiveness.”
Organized by the Faculty of Law and Political Science, under Professor Akab Abdessamed, the conference gathers legal scholars and experts from Arab, European, and African universities. Discussions address key themes such as AI in judicial systems, cybersecurity and legal protection, smart contracts, and digital evidence issues.
