Universityof Blida 2 Lounici Ali inaugurated the national conference “Editing Manuscripts in Algeria: Achievements and Prospects”

Universityof Blida 2 Lounici Ali today inaugurated the national conference “Editing Manuscripts in Algeria: Achievements and Prospects”, with the participation of the Algerian Academy of the Arabic Language and a group of researchers specialized in manuscript heritage.
University Rector Professor Farid Kourtel emphasized that manuscripts represent the living memory of the nation, while Professor Rajaa Mestour highlighted the need to preserve them and study the causes of the disconnect from this heritage.
Meanwhile, Professor Cherif Mribai, President of the Algerian Academy of the Arabic Language, called for accelerating cataloguing, indexing, and digitization through the use of artificial intelligence.
The session concluded with the Academy presenting a collection of its latest publications to the university, reinforcing scientific cooperation among national academic institutions.
