The International Conference on “Arabic Literature in the Context of Global Cross-Cultural Dialogue

The International Conference on “Arabic Literature in the Context of Global Cross-Cultural Dialogue” kicked off this morning at Blida 2 University. The event, organized by the Faculty of Letters and Languages in collaboration with the Laboratory of Literary and Critical Studies, brought together a distinguished group of researchers and academics.
In his opening remarks, Professor Farid Kourtel, Rector of the University, emphasized that “Arabic literature represents a true cultural bridge, and cross-cultural exchange goes beyond knowledge transfer to become a profound dialogue that fosters mutual understanding among peoples.” He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to promoting high-level academic research to enhance the global standing of the Arabic language and its literature.
Professor Khalifa korti, Dean of the Faculty, praised the hosting of this significant academic event, underscoring its importance in “highlighting the dialogic dimension and building knowledge bridges that transcend geographical boundaries.” He also called for a renewed reading of Arab literary heritage from an open and inclusive perspective, and described the conference as “the culmination of continuous research efforts,” noting that the laboratory strives to advance literary studies through modern scientific approaches while preserving cultural identity.
