The Local Unit for Visibility Promotion and Ranking at Blida 2 University organized a specialized training workshop entitled “Promotion and Ranking of Higher Education and Scientific Research Institutions” at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, with the participation of university officials, faculty members, researchers, and PhD students.
The workshop was opened by Professor Farid Kortel, Rector of Blida 2 University, and facilitated by Professor Hakim Harek, Head of the National Committee for Visibility Promotion and Ranking, Professor Nasreddine Bouhassain, former Vice-Rector for Scientific Research, and Professor Nardjess Frioua, Head of the Local Unit.
In his address, Professor Kortel highlighted the importance of academic ranking in enhancing the quality and international visibility of Algerian universities, stressing the need for collective efforts, particularly from young academics and researchers.
The workshop focused on key themes related to scientific publishing ethics and research visibility, featuring lectures and interactive discussions. The program targeted primarily PhD students and newly recruited faculty members, with additional sessions planned for journal editors and visibility committee members.
