L’Université de Blida 2 plante 1600 arbres dans le cadre de la campagne nationale de reboisement, en présence du gouverneur de l’État

University of Blida 2 took part in the National Reforestation Campaign, planting 1,600 trees on its campus in less than one hour, as part of the nationwide initiative aimed at planting five million trees across the country.
The launch of the operation was overseen by the Governor of Blida Province, Mr. Djamel-Eddine Hashas, alongside the University Rector, Professor Farid Kourtel, in the presence of local and security authorities, representatives of the Forest Conservation Department, and officials from Sonatrach.
The campaign included the planting of carob and argan trees, selected for their environmental, economic, and health benefits, as well as their role in combating desertification. The event witnessed broad participation from the university community and various segments of civil society, reflecting a strong sense of collective responsibility and commitment to environmental protection and the promotion of green spaces under the slogan “A Green University for a Green Algeria.”
