University of Blida 2 and the University of Perugia in Italy strengthen their cooperation and lay out a roadmap for joint academic projects

The Rector of Blida 2 University, Professor Bachir Amer, accompanied by the Vice-Rector for External Relations, Professor Safaa Oulad Heddar, paid an official visit to the University for Foreigners of Perugia in Italy, at the invitation of its Rector, Professor Valerio De Cesaris. This visit took place within the framework of renewing the cooperation agreement between the two institutions and strengthening prospects for joint academic partnership.
Discussions between the two parties focused on a number of strategic projects, foremost among them the preparation of a joint Algerian-Italian conference bringing together the University for Foreigners of Perugia and its Algerian partner institution. In addition, both sides initiated the development of a joint Master’s program under a “Double Degree” system in the field of Foreign Language Teaching, enabling students from both universities to obtain two degrees recognized in both countries.
In the same context, the meeting also addressed preparations for a joint research project within the framework of the “Erasmus Mundus” program, in coordination with other partner universities. This step aims to strengthen the integration of Blida 2 University into the European academic system and expand its international network.
The visit will continue the following day, during which the delegation will meet with Blida 2 University students currently in Perugia as part of the student mobility program between the two universities and the “Italyio” scholarship, reflecting a clear commitment to maintaining direct communication with students abroad and monitoring their academic progress.
