The closing ceremony of the Erasmus+ LEADS project
Rector of the University of Blida 2, Professor Bachir Ameur, accompanied by the university’s LEADS project team, participated on Sunday 25 October 2026 in the opening of the closing ceremony of the Erasmus+ LEADS project — aimed at developing and accrediting linguistic, entrepreneurial, and digital competencies within the Algerian higher education system. The event was hosted by the Polytechnic School of Architecture and Urban Planning in Algiers.
The University of Blida 2’s participation reflects its commitment to keeping pace with competency development pathways and engaging with European cooperation programmes in higher education, as a partner in the project alongside a number of national and international universities. The university has marked several key milestones within the project in recent months, including a specialised workshop and the launch of training sessions in the aforementioned competencies for students, faculty, and staff.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the National Erasmus+ Office, the Regional Conference of Central Universities, and representatives of Algerian partner universities and European partners. The occasion served as a prominent milestone for evaluating the project’s outcomes, reviewing its results, and examining the prospects for its sustainability.
Work continues until 28 October through the assessment of work packages and project deliverables, and the preparation of a roadmap aimed at ensuring the sustainability of LEADS certificates and strengthening their impact across partner higher education institutions.
