Meeting with the international students enrolled at the university

The Rector of the University of Blida 2, Professor Bachir Ameur, held a special meeting today with the international students enrolled at the university, in the presence of his deputies and the deans of the faculties. The meeting is part of a tradition the administration has consistently upheld, aimed at listening directly to this group’s concerns and hearing their academic and pedagogical problems.

In this regard, the University Rector welcomed the newcomers as well as those continuing their studies at the university, stressing that « the international student is a partner in enriching university life, and that the University of Blida 2 regards welcoming them well and ensuring suitable conditions for their studies as part of its scientific and humanitarian mission. » He added that holding this meeting falls within an approach based on listening and direct communication, which allows the administration to identify difficulties on the ground and address them as quickly as possible. He also urged the students to show a spirit of initiative and to take part in the university’s scientific, cultural and sports activities.

During the open discussion that followed his address, the students raised a number of concerns related to academic and pedagogical matters. They also expressed their satisfaction with the initiative, considering that the opportunity for direct dialogue with the university administration reflects genuine interest in their situation.

The meeting concluded with the University Director’s affirmation that communication channels with international students will remain open, and that efforts will continue to improve the conditions of their reception and supervision, in a way that consolidates the standing of the University of Blida 2 as a distinguished destination for study and research.
