University of Blida 2 launches its sixth training course in the field of patents for supervising professors
The Technology Support and Innovation Center at the University of Blida 2 launched its sixth training cycle on « Drafting the Descriptive Memorandum for Patent Applications, » targeting supervising professors enrolled under Ministerial Decision No. 1275 on the « Economic Enterprise – Patent » project.
The session was inaugurated by Vice-Rector Professor Safaa Ouled Haddar, alongside Technology Support and Innovation Center Director Dr. Meriem Laachab and Liaison Center Head Dr. Jamal Eddine Silini. In her opening remarks, Professor Ouled Haddar underscored that supporting students goes beyond academia to encompass full technical and legal empowerment, stressing that « the supervising professor who masters intellectual property principles is the essential pillar » of the university’s innovation ecosystem.
Led by Dr. Laachab, the eight-module program covered patent terminology, national and international databases — including INAPI, Espacenet, and Google Patents — descriptive memorandum drafting standards, and patent title selection methodology, concluding with practical guidance for participants.
