The rector professor Bachir Ameur launch three key digital initiatives

The University of Blida 2 held an expanded meeting chaired by Rector Professor Bachir Ameur to launch three key digital initiatives: the Master’s registration digital interface for 2026–2027, the DSpace digital repository, and the edX e-learning platform — marking a significant step toward building a fully digital university.

Rector Ameur emphasized that digitalization is an irreversible strategic path, describing the projects as a genuine institutional transformation rather than mere technical upgrades. Dr. Abdelmadjid Gasmi ElHassani, Head of the Digitalization Strategy Office, highlighted the shift from digitizing individual procedures to digitizing the entire academic and administrative system, while Professor Frioua presented DSpace as a gateway to the global open scientific knowledge network, supporting the university’s Webometrics ranking.

The meeting brought together representatives from all relevant committees and units — including Quality Assurance, the Systems and IT Center, and the AI House — reflecting the university’s collaborative approach to driving its digital transformation.
