The first training cycle for newly recruited faculty members

University of Blida 2 today inaugurated the first training cycle for newly recruited faculty members who joined through the 2025 recruitment competition, second round, as part of the institution’s established pedagogical support programme.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Rector Bachir Ameur, in the presence of Vice-Rector for Pedagogy Professor Saïd Boukhaouch, Dr. Omar Ghezazi, Head of the Pedagogical Support Unit for Newly Recruited Faculty, and a number of supervising professors.

In his opening remarks, Rector Bachir Ameur stated that « integrating new competencies into the university’s pedagogical framework is not achieved through recruitment alone, but requires organised scientific and methodological support that instils a culture of quality from the outset, » adding that « University of Blida 2 is committed to strengthening its training system as a cornerstone in developing university faculty capable of advancing both teaching and research. »

Dr. Omar Ghezazi, Head of the Pedagogical Support Unit, explained that « this cycle represents the first stage of a comprehensive training pathway aimed at preparing newly appointed faculty and equipping them with the pedagogical and methodological tools needed to meet the full demands of the university teaching environment, » noting that « the programme combines both theoretical and practical components to ensure maximum benefit for participants. »

The training programme, spanning several cycles, covers a range of themes including modern pedagogical approaches, assessment methods, the integration of digital technologies in education, as well as an introduction to the regulatory and legislative frameworks governing Algeria’s higher education .
