» Foreign Literature in Arabic « : University of Blida 2 Marks World Translation Day with a National Conference

The Faculty of Arts and Languages at the University of Blida 2 hosted yesterday a national conference entitled « Foreign Literature in Arabic: Proper Nouns Between Transliteration and Adaptation », organised by the Department of Translation in celebration of World Translation Day.

Professors and researchers from universities across the country delivered presentations in Arabic, French, English, and Italian — both in person and via videoconference. In his opening address, Faculty Dean Professor Khalifa Korti commended the Translation Department for hosting events addressing such specialised and nuanced topics. Department Head Dr. Omar Ameirat expressed pride in bringing together researchers dedicated to language and literature, while Conference Chair Professor Rasha Saadouni highlighted the richness of the scheduled presentations and their scholarly merit.
