The General Assembly of the Social Services Committee unanimously approves the annual program for 2026

The Conference Hall at the University of Blida 2 hosted this Wednesday morning the General Assembly of the Social Services Committee, attended by faculty and staff from across the university’s faculties and services. The assembly unanimously approved the Committee’s annual programme for the 2026 financial year.
The assembly was convened in response to the Committee’s invitation to all staff, with an agenda covering two items: the approval of the annual programme, followed by miscellaneous matters.
In his address, Rector Professor Bachir Ameur affirmed that social services are a fundamental pillar in improving the professional and social conditions of sector employees, calling for enhanced cooperation and coordination between all parties — administration, faculty, staff, and committee members — in the service of the university community’s collective interest. He directed a series of recommendations to committee members, urging them to uphold a spirit of responsibility, adhere to the principles of transparency and good governance in managing allocated resources, ensure fairness and equity in the distribution of services to all staff without distinction, and remain attentive to staff suggestions and concerns.
Vice-Rector for Pedagogy, Professor Saïd Boukhaouche, stressed the importance of broad staff engagement in enriching and ensuring the success of the Committee’s programmes, noting that wide participation in such events reflects collective awareness of the importance of social action within the university.
Committee President Dr. Ibrahim Haddad presented a detailed overview of the 2026 annual programme’s axes and objectives, highlighting the Committee’s commitment to diversifying activities and services in response to staff aspirations, and expressing his gratitude to the university administration for its support and to all attendees for their trust and engagement.
Staff members expressed satisfaction with the proposed programme before it was put to a vote and adopted unanimously.
