Launch of the training program for the second cohort of newly recruited teachers

Vice-Rector for Pedagogy, Professor Saïd Boukhaouch, today officially opened — on behalf of Rector Professor Bachir Ameur — the training programme for the **second cohort of newly recruited faculty** joining under the second session of 2025. The opening was held in the presence of Dr. Omar Ghazazi, Head of the Pedagogical Monitoring and Support Cell for Newly Recruited Researcher-Professors, Dr. Sabrina Kateb, Head of the English Language Training Monitoring Cell, and the faculty members benefiting from the programme.
In his address, Professor Boukhaouch affirmed that this training forms part of the university’s policy of accompanying newly recruited researcher-professors from the moment they join the institution, equipping them with the pedagogical and methodological tools needed for distinguished professional performance. He stated that * »the success of a new faculty member in their professional career begins with quality training and support in their early years, and the university is committed to providing the framework that enables rapid integration and a meaningful contribution to improving the quality of education and scientific research. »* He called on participants to engage seriously with all stages of the programme and to benefit from the expertise of the supervising faculty.
In the same session, the Vice-Rector delivered a lecture presenting the new faculty members with key information and guidance on the university’s structural and pedagogical organisation, as well as the duties and responsibilities of a university professor in teaching and supervision. Dr. Ansaa El Chiker also delivered a presentation on the use of information and communication technologies in teaching.
The training programme spans several diverse and specialised workshops covering pedagogical, methodological, linguistic, and digital dimensions relevant to the university professor’s career path, with the aim of equipping newly recruited faculty with the competencies needed for effective integration into university life and the full performance of their teaching, supervisory, and research duties.
