The Faculty of Law and Political Science at University of Blida 2 hosted a specialized doctoral seminar, organized by the Governance and Sustainable Development Laboratory in cooperation with the Doctoral Training Team, on « Specialized Scientific Translation in Political Science: Between Conceptual Accuracy and the Challenges of Knowledge Transfer in a Multilingual World. »
Vice-Rector for Scientific Research Professor Meriem Touati opened the event, emphasizing that specialized translation is now essential to academic knowledge-building and reaffirming the university’s commitment to doctoral training. Dean Dr. Benothmane Farida and seminar chair Dr. Abdelhakim Dhahbi highlighted the discipline-specific demands of conceptual precision in political science research.
Sessions covered translating political theories across languages, AI applications in specialized translation, ideological bias, and third-language verification methods. The seminar closed with recommendations to advance research and AI use in specialized translation, and with an honor for Dr. Dhahbi for his leadership of the Governance and Sustainable Development Laboratory.
