University of Blida 2 opens the door to a partnership with a British institution to enhance English-language instruction
Rector of the University of Blida 2, Professor Bachir Ameur, received today Mr. Lounis Houcine, representative of the British institution « Albion Via Education », specialised in academic guidance and support for study at British universities. The meeting was held as part of the university’s efforts to expand and diversify training opportunities in support of English-medium instruction, building on previously established agreements with a number of British universities. Both parties also explored the possibility of setting up short-term internship programmes for this purpose, benefiting faculty and students alike.
Professor Bachir Ameur stressed that « openness to international partners is an irreversible strategic choice, and that promoting English-medium instruction is a priority in the modernisation of training and the improvement of its outcomes. » He noted that the university seeks to « diversify forms of cooperation to give faculty and students direct exposure to the British academic environment and to benefit from its expertise in teaching methods and scientific research. »
The British institution’s representative presented the range of services offered by Albion Via Education in academic guidance and support for those wishing to pursue further studies at British universities, expressing his institution’s readiness to explore forms of cooperation aligned with the university’s needs and aspirations.
Through this initiative, the university aims to equip its community with English as a language of science, research, and academic communication, and to translate its British university partnership portfolio into concrete training programmes.
