University of Blida 2 examines the « trend » phenomenon under a sociological microscope at a national conference
Blida 2 University hosted a national conference on “Trend Sociology,” bringing together researchers from various universities to discuss the role of trends in shaping public opinion within Algeria’s digital space.
The conference was opened by Professor Meriem Touati on behalf of the Rector, emphasizing the importance of scientifically studying digital phenomena and advancing research in digital media sociology. The Dean also highlighted the need to keep pace with the transformations imposed by digital platforms on society.
The conference chair noted that “trends” have become a powerful mechanism in shaping collective attitudes rather than a passing phenomenon, while the laboratory representative أكدed the topic’s relevance to its research focus.
