University of Blida 2 hoste a national symposium titled “Foundations of the Smart City and the Challenges of Artificial Intelligence”

The Faculty of Law and Political Science at the University of Blida 2 hosted a national symposium titled “Foundations of the Smart City and the Challenges of Artificial Intelligence.” The event was organized by the Center for Modern Information and Communication Technologies, in collaboration with the Laboratory of Law, Property, and Digitalization, and was opened by the Faculty Dean, Professor Abdelssamed Aqqab.
The symposium, chaired by Professor Radia Abbas, saw broad academic and technical participation, including contributions from Yazid Bougri, Deputy Technical Director of the New City of Sidi Abdallah; Professor Mohamed Hammouda, Director of the Center for Modern Technologies; as well as Professor Massouda Amara, Director of the Artificial Intelligence House.
The discussions focused on examining the experience of the Sidi Abdallah Smart City, considered Algeria’s first national model for sustainable digital cities. Scientific presentations explored the transition from traditional to smart cities, international experiences, the legal and ethical challenges of artificial intelligence, and smart waste management.
