University of Blida 2 celebrates the authenticity and global standing of the Arabic language at a scientific forum

University of Blida2 hosted today a scientific symposium titled “The Authenticity and Global Status of the Arabic Language: Challenges of Preservation and Renewal – The Contributions of Professor Ammar Sassi”, organized by the Faculty of Arts and Languages as part of Arabic Language Month.
In his opening remarks, Professor Saïd Boukhaouch, Vice-Rector for Pedagogy, highlighted the role of Arabic as “the nation’s identity and living memory,” stressing the university’s responsibility in preserving and developing it amid the challenges of globalization and digital transformation.
Representing the Dean, Dr. Amal Boukhanouche affirmed that Arabic is “a tool for thought, creativity, and cultural dialogue,” noting that honoring Professor Ammar Sassi reflects recognition of his significant academic contributions.
Symposium Chair Professor Asma Boukraidi praised the university’s efforts to promote Arabic, emphasizing that the chosen theme underscores its status as a language of knowledge and civilization, capable of continual renewal.
The event includes research sessions on contemporary challenges facing Arabic, its global presence, and pathways for renewal while preserving its authenticity.
